A duster and dustpan, reimagined. An unexpected object of desire, with the intent to make cleaning less mundane.
Having cleaned the house during the lockdown period, I was often frustrated with the aesthetics of the everyday duster and dustpan. The hard, sharp plastic bodies look industrial, and are uncomfortable to use.I decided to create a form that would be clean, minimal and aesthetically pleasing. The object would have to stand on its own, and be a talking point for guests in the home.
